Need help downgrading my ps3 firmware
 

Ok. So I just bought a ps3 about 3 weeks ago. The firmware is 4.21.. Is there any free way to downgrade that to a firmware that I can jailbreak? If so can you tell me and lead me in the right direction. Thanks.

All that's there is 3.7 to 3.55.. Mine is 4.21

EVERY firmware is downgradable with hardware flashers,, the problem is that some consoles ain't supported by the flashers.

make sure your console can be downgraded to 3.55 and/or lower, then get yourself a flasher and have some fun.

@BaileyG i am not trying to come off as an ass, but the information is on this site. Click the search button and look. This question gets answered literally 10 times a day. Before the end of the day, there will be another help thread EXACTLY like this one. People on here will become very irate with people who don't try to help themselves first. If you have ANY firmware above the golden 3.55 ofw, then you NEED a hardware flasher. If you don't want to buy one, then you need to pay someone to do it for you.

Good point @Goldeneye . Baileyg First you need to make sure you can downgrade your console. Use minverchecker to see, or look up your console model on ps3devwiki to see if it can be downgraded.
