Uncharted 3 on External HDD. How ?

Is there any way to Play Uncharted 3 on External HDD. please ?!
I used split4G to split the main game folder but when start the game using Select + X it show error Data or something as replacement of the Disc in XMB PS3. The PSARC Crashed when i am trying to extract .PSARC files... :(

U3 works on external hdd, you patched your game ??

I have the USA version original Disc copy it to external HDD and apply the BCUS98233 update 1.13 then fix it. I know the update and the fix is pkg file so i used PkgView to extract it and copy to game folder manually. It is work find on internal but don't work on external maybe because the is .PSARC files with a size of 10GB...?!

That splig4g is for STORING the game data for later use - on your internal drive.

You can't play the game split...

sigh...kinda obvious but there we go.

You can play it from external. The best and easiest way is to find the 27 Gig version that is floating around out there. I used that one. However, when I played it from external I didn't have any working audio during the cut scenes so I opted to copy it back to the internal where it fully works. You should be able to play just about any game from external using the PSARC method. The Cobra dongle also allows you to play +4 Gig games from external. Hopefully they will crack the dongle and bring us that feature as well.

Absolutely works from external with no sound issues, There has been a fix on the forum for over six months and usually I would give you a link but hell I'm on my phone.

The psarc method leaves you with excruciatingly long load times and the odd crash here and there though.

Works external for me, as @BobbyBangin said PSARC unarchives the huge files into tiny ones, so it works! TBH I dont remember long loading times when I played UC3 from external ... but then it was AGES ago....:dontknow:

I used the "Uncharted.3.PROPER.FIX.KMEAW355.READNFO.v4-Nobody' and it worked perfectly for me on external hdd.

But maybe is different for some.

I thought there was a V5 and a repacked V5 fix.
