Running self files, please help me
Hello. I have already a game engine compiled with ps3toolchain by ooPo. It is linked to SDL 1.3.0 for PSL1GHT and libGL.a of RSXGL. I ps3load the .self of the engine to my PS3 and I get "Game Quit: No Request Event".
I tried to ps3load sample .self files from RSXGL and NoRSX. RSX samples fail just like the engine, NoRSX's .self works on the other hand. During this whole time, I have not received any debug feedback from my PS3. RSX samples were compiled in such way that they'd tell me on port 9100 what is happening. That doesn't happen. I don't know what to do with this. Does anyone know how to deal with this bs? Will anyone help me please? Edit: Console has Rebug 3.55.2, 4.11 spoofer, rebug selector (mode: rebug, xmb: debug) |
Hmm I will reply to this since you took the time to PM me. I personally though do not develop directly on the PS3 mostly due to my lack of knowledge and experience in that aspect. But my guess is that the program you are trying to compile is not running properly and hence it crashes to XMB. I would check your source and have maybe someone like
@deroad
look it or part of it over with you. Maybe people like

might be willing to help aswell.

I just loaded Kmeaw and tried ps3load. Still nothing works, plus I'm getting weird blackscreens. However, rsxglgears from pkg worked. I retried to make self. This time I used not "fself.py" or "make_self_npdrm", but "make_self" like the wiki said. Now rsxglgears works fine, which leaves me to my engine. |
@soplica
good. you only need to know that you need to use fselfs. you can't use npdrm with ps3load. anyway if you use the latest version of psl1ght you will see that self, built with the make, will work with ps3load.
