Is there any reason anyone should still be on 3.41 ??
 

I have encountered 2 people rece

ntly, they always ****** up threads by asking "does this work on 3.41?". I have asked both why, one avoided the question by saying

"I have my reasons"

and the other said

"beacause it took me 2 years to collect over 300 games, I dont want to redo all of them "

and then

"You dont have to go back through and replace all the eboot fixes from 3.41 to 3.55? "

he still hasn't updated because he didn't believe me when I told him 3.55 would run them perfectly.. no doubt his "does this work on 3.41?" posts will continue for months to come.

but for a ps3hax regular, ie the first person I mentioned.. is there a single good reason for sticking with 3.41?

There isn't really. At least as far as I can tell.

you can run unsigned code.

And also we can run somes homebrew that only works in 3.41

All of which can probably be signed to work with 3.55.

These days 3.41 seems to be losing support in newer releases... Not many 3.41 versions.

I speak about those from early time of JB, for example CFW Loader, Asbestos LDR, those homebrew that isn't ported to 3.55 because the 3.41 has a different architecture that 3.55

At least they are on 3.41 and not 4.11. :)

Im one of the crazy ones on 3.41 also. Why? Mainly due to unoffical controller support but then again why not?

Not tried any games that dont work yet on mine, 50+ tested including all the lasted hacked tb ones.

Yes I have to patch more games but then again 3.55 also needs patches now.

Ps 3.55 will not run all 3.41 patched games straight away. Eboots and other files would have to be replaced which would be a major job for some.
