Hey guys, I just bought my ps3 and i want to jailbreak it. The thing is... i'm a noob when it comes to ps3 jailbreak :vollkommenauf:. The last days, i was reading about it and I found something about Dongles & CFW. I was really interested about the cfw, so I searched about it and i found CFW 4.21...

1. is this real or is it going to brick my ps3??

2. How do I know if my ps3 is downgradable (for 3.55)? I just bought it, so i don't know...

3. Is TB Dongle a good option? I really don't know how it works... Is this dongle like the others?? those ones that needed an original disc to emulate the game?

The only cfw is 3.55 thats the highest you can go your on this site and you cant look at the top that says ps3 scene status? http://www.ps3hax.net/showthread.php?p=263662 there that should help you dont buy dongles they are bs you need to be on 3.55 cfw to use them any way tb are the filth of the ps3 scene so stay away from them

I'd like to know another thing... i've read that the TB is useful when it comes to play games that are above 3.60v... why? Is it because TB has an exclusive team that release all the patches faster??

The only dongle you need is a PS3KEY (And that is a jig to get into FSM)
Other then that you need a Progskeet (For PHAT) or an E3Flasher (For Slim) to downgrade to 3.55

Tb is pretty much dead we have free teams on the scene who are releasing the 3.60 patches so dont worry about buying tb

if hes just brought a ps3 more like to be 3000 model

If you just bought your ps3 new? Then you probably can't downgrade, even with a flasher.

Use Min version checker, to see how low your firmware can go. The link for it is in @tjhooker73 sig.

romulofs, I suggest you read up on the tutorials in this forum first. And please state your PS3 model. Chances are if you buy the latest on the market. you may have a 3k series which cannot be downgraded by any means possible as of current.

So, if my PS3 can't be downgraded, what jb do you guys suggest?

I just want something that allows me to play my games from my external HD... no difficulties... =DD
