Some CEX2DEX Questions

Hi everyone,

Ok so i have a Ps3 Slim 250gb CECH2004B downgraded with Rogero CFW v3.4 and i don't think it's QA flagged.I'm willing to switch it to DEX and i found this tutorial on PS3ISO here:http://www.ps3iso.com/ps3-tutorials/...dex-n00bs.html

So here are my questions:
1. is this a trusted guide?
2. if i install 3.55 dex will i still be able to install my homebrews normally?
2. if i update 3.55 dex to 4.20 dex will i be able to play new game backups (ex:sleeping dogs) without splitting games and without number restrictions?
3. will i be able to go back and forth between 4.20 dex and 3.55 dex without any problems and while keeping multiman and my backups?
4. will i be able to play latest retail games?
5. is there a possibility to brick using the guide stated above?

1. http://www.ps3hax.net/showthread.php?t=40898 - no hxd required (made by me :))
2.yes using a modified dex firmware
3.yes/no as a format will be required and all data on external drives will be lost.
4.yes
5. I have used my guide without brick and others have reported success without brick, so if you follow it you should be good.

Also you will need to dehash or you will have a brick

what's a dehash? can i play backups on dex from internal? @parminder_11

Would be possible on 3.55 dex. Not on 4.20, dehashing is where Syscon values are made correct or reset after downgrading. My tutorial shows how to do this

Don't start any part of the conversion process without dehashing
