remarry cechg bluray drive with checha?
 

Hi guys

A friend of mine has a checha (60gb) with a broken bd-drive.
I have a chechg (40gb) with ylod problem.

Is it possible to put the drive of the 40g in the 60gb and remarry? according to ps3devwiki there are little differences in drive. (link)

Or does it need to be a drive from an other checha?

You can remarry any drive from any model as long as the interface is the same (And in your case, they are the same)

Is it safe to use the fsm .pkg? or should i look around for a jig dongle?

Is the logic board in the a01 bad? If not just swap logic boards.

how can i check that?

Whats wrong with the drive?

It accepts disks and you can eject them.
But the games don't show up in xmb, so the laser or whatever is dead is suspect.
