3.55 ps3's (Help)
 

Hey guys :)
Today I was in Oslo (Capital of Norway) to look for a 3.55 ps3, but bad news.
They was just selling 160gb and 320 gb ps3's, not 120 gb ones.
I asked if they updated their ps3's, and they said no, but I think 160 and 320gb ps3's was made with a higher ofw than 3.55.
I really hope not, as I am desperately looking for a 3.55 because my e3 clone failed to intialize, but I return'd the e3 clone and got my money back.
Now I need to find a 3.55 ps3.

My options right now:
Buy a used cfw 3.55 ps3 off "www.finn.no" (Norwegian site like ebay)
Keep looking for a 3.55 ps3, it might be hard to find, but I am willing to do it.
Buy a new e3 flasher, which has to be real, not falling for that clone **** again, but I would like to avoid toll/moms/shipmenting as it costs a lot of money to send a package from usa to norway.
Also, I think it's best to buy a brand new 3.55 as it's in better shape, also an e3 flashed ps3 is unstable and might get problems in the future.
And buying a 3.55 ps3 off "www.finn.no" is also not as good as buying a new one, because it's used.

Why don't anyone make a 3.55 ps3 selling system? There is downgrading services, why not a ps3 selling service?

And E3 flashed PS3's are not unstable. They are as stable as the firmware they are on.

A downgraded console is not less stable than any other console. This is complete crap. Flashing a valid bios dump to a console using a flasher is no different than Sony doing it. I have several downgraded consoles and I haven't ever had a problem. The only problems that usually arrive on "downgraded" consoles is 9 times out of 10 "USER" error. Anyway, you will most likely have a hard time finding a new console on 3.55. eBay has them sometimes but they are thru the roof with the price. Good luck

Amazon uk has brand new call of duty black ops console bundles for £187 with free shipping to the uk. I'm sure it wouldn't be much more to ship it to Norway. Black ops requires 3.50 firmware so if it is brand new, then it will come with 3.50 or possibly lower. If you are going to spend that much on a refurb, you should just get a new one. the one you looked at is $220 plus shipping from USA and it is a refurb that they may have updated. The amazon one is $296 free shipping to uk. Maybe they will ship it to Norway for free being sucha big company. This one is new in box.

They might, hopefully they will, I just found a brand new 80gb ps3 on firmware 3.40, for $180 in Norway free shipping.
I might just do that, but is it 100€ that the black ops console bundles are on 3.50 or lower? I don't want to take any chances as it will cost $180 to get it return'd or maybe they don't want it in return, I am sure you understand.

I know COD black ops is 3.50 firmware. Every console bundle I have ever seen that comes with a game, comes on that firmware or lower. I also believe I saw @playerkp420 say the Black ops bundle was 3.50.

Okey, would you mind sending me the link to a black ops dongle?
Also, why don't they update it to 3.55 or higher?
It's a normal console right? A normal console with the black ops game included?

I don't know what to believe anymore.

I know for a fact that the black ops bundle (New and unopened) comes with a cech-25xx. With stock firmware 3.50.

Who ever posted that doesn't know what they are talking about. Black ops came out before 3.60. It came out Nov. 2010.

Good luck finding one new in the box though. Because it would have had to be sitting on a shelf somewhere since early 2011. Maybe you can find a new, unopened one on eBay.

Your best bet to get a 3.55 console is buy a used one from a local pawn shop.
They will even hook it up for you. So you can check what firmware it is on.

Well, pawnshops is so rare in Norway :/ There is a few online pawn shops, but not stores. I don't really know what to do. Why is the ps3 jailbreaking scene so dead in Norway? :/
