question about e3 linker

hello i had problems with the e3 clip, so i am now soldering with the e3 linker, i want to know if i need to do the GND points, and what are the use of them?

Look at the chart here, under connecting nor pads to flasher.

You don't need to use all the ground points.

yes i see, but where can i find VSS on my jtp-001 motherboard?
and does it matter where on the e3 linker i solder the GND?

The pic of your mobo mapped out is on the same page I linked. Look here.

It doesn't matter what ground you use on either the linker or the mobo.

oke thanks, i used that mapped picture for the points.
but i wasn't sure for the ground
soldering one grond is enough right?

playerkp420 09-03-2012 11:23 AM

Yeah. And take your pick. :)

thanks, i am done with soldering and will now put the ps3 back together and will test
one problem, the wires weren't soldered very good and went los one by one, so i am now doing it again but now i will label them and will do it better.

oh and about the 3.3V VCC > VCC and BVCC
do i need to put 2 wires on the 3.3V VCC to both VCC and BVCC, or do i need to use two 3.3 VCC?

i don't understand what you mean with that link, i already visitted that link for a thousand times, the only thing i see now is this:

solder using E3 linker (best permanent solution)
- you can find the right pinout for your board in the progskeet diagramms
- OE (Prog) > NOE (E3);
- GP0 > CE;
- WE > NWE;
- RDY (RY/BY) NW/AIT;
- GP1 > Reset;
- 3.3V VCC > VCC and BVCC

so i don't need to solder all points?
and if not where are the other points for?
