With "Wii U" release date and prices we got some other announcment about future tittle we'll at this console. Particularly for me one of them was really desirable - BAYONETTA 2. Sexy witch, shooting and killing mobs by any part of her body..arrrrr...

But as always nothing can be so good as it seems. this game will be EXCLUSIVELY for that *kiddy* console >_> WHY?!!! Any *grown up* game at every nintendo console failed in selling, why do this again (( I dont wanna buy new console only for 1 game, but this Boobynetta sooo tempting :3

Fun, its a bit the opposite of back when Annelies said it was a shame that MGS HD collection(or was it one of the other MGS?), wasnt ps3 exclusive.. What the ****? If it isn't just a bad port, then what is the problem. Anyway that was long ago and long since forgotten, atleast by me.

It's not a "kiddy" console, that's the same concept as people going "oh the NDS is so stupid compared to the PSP, only little kids play it"

Once you understand the concept of what goes into creating and manufacturing these consoles, whether Sony or N made them, you realize why everyone still goes out in that release date, waits in line, and the shop goes out of stock

Yes the masses will run out and wait in line on launch day to grab this so called "kiddy" unit. I will not go as far as calling it names but Nintendo products are aimed towards the younger generation and towards families. This fact has came out of Nintendo's own mouth. Look how many M rated games (or whatever the rating is in your country) are on the wii compared to other platforms.I have enjoyed having a wii around but it doesn't change the fact that the original wii wasn't exactly a "gamers" choice of platform. The Wii U seems to be changing perspective by releasing games like Bayonetta 2, Assassin's Creed 3, and many other games that would have never made it on the last generation of Wii consoles.

The reason I think the change is happening is because Nintendo saw dollar signs when they realized they won this console war hands down and decided to appeal to a much broader group of people. As I said above, I will not call a console names, but Nintendo is geared toward the younger generation.

Well, it is not kiddy and it is not kiddy according to Nintendo either. This generation they want to get back to the core gamers, not the gimmick/kiddy gamers. I remember reading an article with them stating that they wanted more mature and more third party titles for the wii u.

Nintendo has been kiddy only for the Wii generation, previously their consoles have been great for all types of gamers, be it casual or hardcore. The Gamecube had plenty of great mature titles.

Gamecube had plenty of great mature titles.....all I can really think about is how horrid that controller was and the Resident Evil remakes as far as gamecube goes. Nintendo 64 is what made me get a Playstation, SNES was and still is the **** as well as NES, but gamecube and wii were not a gamers choice for consoles. I have owned both, and I still have a wii. Point being is no matter how hard you try to justify it, the wii is a console for kids and families, and people will have that impression burnt into their mind when looking at the wii u. Not saying it wont fly off of the shelves, because it will, but there is a huge customer base that Nintendo isn't reaching out to right now. Personally I think it will be great with titles like Assassin's Creed 3, Lords of Shadow 2 (about time Nintendo has a castlevania again) and many other games that they will release that us 360 and PS3 owners will see as well

Just in case you missed it the first time. The wii was kiddy. Even the Nintendo commercials stated all products rated E to Teen. Why add that comment to your commercials if you aren't gearing the console towards parents looking to buy a console for a child, or towards family time.

Any comment I make referring kiddy console is in regards to the Wii and not the wii u. The wii for what it is worth is still the best homebrew box this generation, so it did appeal to the modder community, but not all modders really play games either.

LOL you Nintendo hater....but seriously people are getting mad over the whole kiddy console comment and that is what the wii is. I have one and it is an awesome homebrew box, and I played the **** out of New Super Mario Bros., but it still doesn't change how many of us feel about the wii. If they had included mature gamers in their original plan then PS3 and 360 would be underground right now. I mean didn't the wii have the sales of both 360 and 360 combined at one point? Aren't they close to PS2s sales number?....Oh wait, the wii sin't even close to PS2 total sales, and never will be because Nintendo will abandon the wii as soon as the Wii U drops. That is one thing I can give to Sony, at least they continue to support old hardware during the first few years of a new consoles life span. You dont see MS or Nintendo doing this
