Lost track with the jailbreak scene
 

Hi all, I have been away from the jailbreak scene for over a year or so now and fully lost and don't know where to start.

I have the older PS3 the big one and it was jail broken when the first dongle less CFW started up.

Old Big PS3:
FW: 3.55 - unsure what cfw it is
multiman - old don't know what version
Two folders on the games menu:
/app_home/ps3_GAME/
install package files

I was wondering is any one could advise me on whats the latest CFW or Jailbreak type and how i can get from the CFW I'm on the a new one?

There's no new CFW:

CEX>DEX is the next big thing

Pretty much nothing changed in the last year, still require to be on 3.55 to jailbreak a console.

There is cex>dex which is converting a retail console to a debug console, but I think I'll wait to see what happens with that or if something else comes up, cos again apprently you lose BR playback in this conversion.

deank sold out to Cobra so the lastest multiman is the one you get from their website, it still works for all other cfw, just that you need teh cobra drm dongle to use the cobra only features.

There has been a lot of progress, but only progress that's usable for devs only, nothing much for end-user.
