Cex to dex pros and cons.
 

So I've been reading a lot about dex and wanted to know weather there are any real benefits from going from my 3.55 cfw to dex ?

What are the pros and cons of dex ?

Will all my 3.55 back ups still work ?

How easily would it be for me to **** it all up ?

Read the tutorials found in these forums, RE-READ those instructions, READ THEM AGAIN: then think about attempting cex>dex. Its really not that hard, but one mistake and your bricked.

Pro's: virtually every game works with out the need for a dongle. Homebrew works just as well. You will be the envy of your friends...

Con's: loss of bluray movie playback.

Don't think I have used the bluray for movies (dirty pirate ;) ) always been from external HDD or DVD-r.

Think this will be a project for the week, as long as my kids leave me alone long enough ;)

If you have a SLIM it shouldnt take more than 15-20 mins MAX.

It's a NOR console, use a CEX -> DEX tutorial for NOR consoles.

So, wait, even though it loses the playback of BD (disc?), does it still play ISO BDs?

ISO BDs?
If you mean backup BD´s then no.
If you mean BD original games then yes it still plays those.

No BD Loader?

I've read Cobra's USB PS3 dongle and it says it plays ISO Blu-rays but then again it's probably not in this mode.
