Personally I could care less if the system was X amount more powerful than the ps3. As long as the playability is there and some good games, then i'm all good.

Very true, it looks fun and for me it's always been playability over GFX.

That's a very bold statement. Why would they say that? It doesn't take a Nintendo representative to know how unlikely that is. Its just so confusing :/

I'm happy Nintendo has finally stepped up their game but it's going to be hold back because of the Wii U GamePad.

If it is indeed 19 times as powerful then Nintendo has wasted alot of time and money because a console 19 times as powerful as the ps3 sounds as though it could creep into two console generations.

Twice as powerful I can understand. I can even understand a next gen console to be three or four times as powerful as ps3...but 19? Damn...that escalated quickly :|

Why isn't it 20 times more powerful? Nintendo didn't want to pay for the licence of use of BDP in Wii U?

Technically Wii U uses Blu-ray Discs but a regular BD won't work unless it's made specifically for the Wii U. A lot of potential Wii U has I see. =)

That is the actual **** of a bull.

The PS3 came out in '06. Was in development long before that. It's easily conceivable. Watch this vid to understand how. This vid uses a graphics card as an example that is actually inferior to the AMD's Radeon graphics technology 5000/6000 series chip that we now know will be in the Wii-U. Still the inferior example graphics card is still more powerful than the PS3.
