Converting to Dex not complete ( Urgent )
 

hi every body ( DEVs specially ) . I've converted my CEX PS3 to DEX 99% successfully , in the last step when I need to install a DEX frimware , in XMB , it says that there are no file found , I've checked the names , Formats , different DEX frimwares etc .
It finds CEX ones , but doesn't install them . my CEX multiman didnt work after flash but when i installed DEX version it did . there is no Debug setting in XMB though ! in multiman when I want to access Dev_HDD0\tmp , thw window suddenly gets closed . cant revert back to CEX using " my-original-cex.EID0.NORBIN" method because it need a DEX/CEX frimware installed first !
what should i do ?! what CAN I do ?! help ! Please !!! :dontknow:

Sounds like u never converted, just my opinion. I could be wrong though.

huh your post is kind of confusing...
What fw version are you trying to install?
Multiman for dex will do that because it doesn't have access rights to dev_hdd0...

Are you following some tutorial? wich one?

As @itskamel said it would seem you haven't converted... :S

MultiMan Cex version doesn't work ! it gets stock on the loading page for me ! I used 3.55 rogero , 4.21 Dex frimeware ! can I reset PS3 System using XMB ( the one that takes a very long time ) when I whant to convert again , it says you need a DEC\CEX frimware first ! when it finds a CEX (PS3_355_KMEAW) it error that I can install frimwars
higher that 3.44 though !!

after flashing the dexflash u made with "c2d"? using multiman, it goes back to multiman
then exit to XMB and reboot, that part worked right?!

if u had QA flagged the console on CEX, check the settings after convert

use the button combo and the QA settings should be REMOVED at this point, also at this point its normal the "debug settings" are not present..yet...


pickup the ofw355 from the wiki, no other firm, just that one, after that it its up to u..first ofw355 via recovery mode and not the XMB system update

ofw355dex from wiki
install from recovery
to verify the dexdump: open in Hxd and goto OFFSET "2f075" it should read "82"

once ur on 355dex u can go up&down using the dex pups from the wiki
and no it won't reconise cex on dex and visa versa, altough the PS3 should boot after convert flash/targetid like it did..then after convert...re-install cex/dex 355 via recovery to finish convert :)

@haz367 ! yeah ! the only thing I didn't do , was logging out from multiman ! I shut down the system directly .
when I go to recovery mode , the only option open is reset system !!!! OFW3.55 on DEX right ?!
**Edit : I've managed to install OFW through recovery :D
now I'm on dex because debug setting appear under XMB.

only another question ! is intalling lower lvl Frimwares like CEX ? can't install 3.55 on 4.21 directly ?!

a question I dident get the answere ! cant I run backups from Internall HDD !?
and if no , when I format my external HDD can I put other files rather than game images on it ?!
