Is a USA eboot patch compatible with EUR?

I have Need for Speed The Run EUR Version BLES01298
But the New eboot Update 1.03 is for USA

How can I make this work for me?

Eboots are region free but I'm not sure of you can alternate update patches for games from different regions.

So im out of luck for the Need4Speed 1.03 Update?

You can always try it to see if it works. Before you do any of that COPY the eboot that's working already to a different folder to have something to bounce back on if it don't work.

I did that, I updated and then copied over the fix, but i got unsupported data, then i copied back original files (that i backed up) and got corrupt data :(

I since removed the update and copied over another fresh copy of the game.

Help.

So the Update Fix 1.03 has a eboot file and a Param.sfo file
What do I change in the New Downloaded Param.sfo file?
Then...
I move both files over and over the existing files?

You can try to change the Param.sfo of the game itself and leave the patch as it is. make sure you back it up!
It worked for me once, tough i can't remember what game it was.

So don't copy the new eboot (1.03) or param, just update the game and change existing param from 1.00 to 1.03? What about the firmware? Make it say 3.55?

No i mean install the update as it is. Change the game-id in the param.sfo of the game to the game-id of the patch.

Well, I did that, Downloaded the Update from PSN (in game update 1.03)
Then Tried to run it got error 80010017
Then Edited the SFO with SFOEditer and changed it to 1.03 and 3.55; got error 80010017
Even tried to move the Eboot Patch from the USA download and got Unsupported Data Error

I changed the Patch Game ID to EUR (My copy) and it didn't work

ANY other ideas?

I am trying to get Need for Speed: The Run (EUR) to work on CFW with the latest 1.03 Update.
Currently there is ONLY a Patch for this 1.03 Update available ONLY for USA version of game, NOT EUR
