DEX 4.21 and games on PC HD
 

Ok so I thought I knew what I was doing. I successfully converted from CEX to DEX and I am running 4.21 OFW. I have my PS3 connected to router on .30 and my PC on .20. ProDG is setup and connected to PS3. mmDM can see all games and all 3.55 games have been converted to DEX.

Added the PC IP to network server in multiman, but multiman can only see the current game mounted by mmDM, and I can't switch games using multiman. I saw that @JonahUK and @svenmullet had the same issue here but I don't think it was resolved.

Anyone kow what Im doing wrong? Or should I just use a hard drive like everybody else seems to be doing?

** Nevermind - I think I read your question wrong **

I'm not positive but I thought that you had to use the hard drive for all the newer games but could use the mmDM/ProDG method for the 3.55 games. I'm not sure though. Right now that's how I use it. Anything that requires the newer firmware I load via hard drive. Anything 3.55 I load from the PC. I also think to play the 3.55 games you need to be on 3.55 with peek/poke.

Thanks @KB Smoka Im just confused as in that post it says it should work. I am going to test some more games this evening as most didnt work (had trophy errors etc).

I am going to prep a hard drive and hopefully load newer games via that.

Every single game worked on CFW 3.55 and so far only one has worked on DEX. So at the moment Im not feeling DEX although hopefully that will change.

My original problem was due to the fact the I had the PC share named "PS3 Games". Once I changed it to "GAMES", it worked.

Not the same issue as you are having though.

Same think happened to me, nothing worked at first but after a little research I got it. Make sure all your debug settings are correct. I dont know them off the top of my head but there are posts on the site with the correct settings.

@JonahUK thanks for the update mate, I presume by 'share' you mean the folder mmDM points to? Mine is called GAMEZ so I might change that this evening to GAMES and see if it makes a difference.

Also having many trophy errors but thats for another thread ;)

@KB Smoka Thanks, I have been reading but it's slow going. Becoming used to all things CEX and then taking the leap to DEX is omparing apples to oranges. I'll try out my settings and read a bit more and see how it goes.

e.g
F:\PS3\355\GAMES\
all games show in DEX game mounter
for "all games" to show/load into multiman gamelist, use the "default path" option for other content/all games
select F:\PS3\355\ (1 folder UP!)

Got to say thanks to @haz367 all games are displaying in MultiMan. Thanks very much everyone, got my DBEMU disc as well for the new games so a very happy DEX convert here!! :)
