Hey mods. I have an idea that I'm not 100% sure about. Basically, what I have in mind is..l would like to offer to fix some of these bricks that people are getting from installing the 4.21 cfw, while helping this site out.
The details: I would like to offer an unbricking service for all nor based consoles. I want no personal compensation. I want to help ps3hax, the site that I love so much, so I will only be charging shipping to and from, and a donation of any kind to the site. I will only ask for the donation AFTER the console is fixed and working perfectly, and if I can't fix the console, then I will return it and inform the member. I am not even sure if anyone would be interested in this or not, but I thought I would give it a shot. If this is the dumbest thing you have ever read, please feel free to close/delete this thread, and I apologize for wasting your time. If this seems like a decent idea then...
The questions Would there be a way to confirm a member made a donation to the site, and if so, how? Also, how can people make donations to the site?
I am fully capable of fixing the bricks, as long as I can get a dump from them. I am pretty sure that won't be a problem, but I would need to get my hands on one to see for sure. I have unbricked and downgraded many consoles. I have been successful in every one attempted. If anyone has a bricked console from installing this cfw that I can try to get a dump and fix for them, it would be greatly appreciated. I give my word that I will not harm the console in any way, or rip you off. If anything bad happens to any console while it is in my hands, I am capable and willing to replace the console with a comparable cfw console. Also, if anyone who has the means to fix a NAND console wants to jump onboard this idea, please feel free.

I personally dont think this is a dumb idea at all. some people are in need of a service like this.
and it would also stop people spending money on a new console or selling their bricks for parts.

I for one think its an exceptional idea, the problem is the donation aspect.

I dont know how that would work out exactly. Are there legalities surrounding donations for services?

PS3Hax PayPal accounts are blocked (due to $ony complaining about info about leaked DSK), no donations possible atm ...

we used to have a donate system in place which showed who donated until a certain "snitch" (not naming names but can hazard a guess who, woot woot!) caused trouble and got it removed.
