Turtle's Kickstarter

I know this isn't news, but I thought you guys might be interested. And since I know a lot of you, I thought you might want to take a look. :)

I worked really hard on this, it's taken a couple years and a lot has been done. Please take a gander and see what you can see. :)

Share with everyone. Thanks guys!

Thanks, man! Hopefully this thread will get noticed along with the 900 threads due to the whole "lv0 keys" thing. :)

The perks are not that great since I have no money and won't be doing this for profit. However, since I plan on eventually putting all my games on PC/Mac/Linux, PS3, Wii, PSP, etc. I figured maybe not focusing on that might be a good idea.

Once you actually develop and sign it to various systems you should post it here first to gain attention to your work. Maybe it will even get frontpaged like the homebrew applications Paintown and etc. With that many eyes on your work. People will recommend what needs to be tweaked and maybe assist you on your project.

Good Journey!

1. Are you saying nobody will assist or help tweak it? :) Just kidding.
2. If the money isn't there, the project won't be, so it would kind of defeat the purpose if I waited to post here until it was done. If I did, then I wouldn't have posted here and gotten anyone's attention!

I have a very alpha Wii build and broken PSP build. It kind of sucks, so I am going to focus on the PC build.

Also, based on the handful of comments, it doesn't look like many people are looking anyway. :bawling::banghead:

Just like the emulation news threads. :(

Okay to make my position clear.
but you will have no luck with your project.

15,000$ for a one man project? what do you want to do with it?
getting licenses for the consoles and so on? no chance, legal licenses for those consoles are 20times more expensive then you want to get.

im sorry for you but nobody will contribute to your project. first you should get some work to show.
you need tons of proof for the contributors that they give you money.

i dont know how much experience you have, but here is one of my first games i created, and im pretty sure NOBODY would give me money for it ^^

so think about if you realy want to ask people for money for a project you are planing to learn on.
if you dont want to start a project WITHOUT money. you should stop dreaming about beeing a game developer.

1. The money is going towards server costs, some hardware upgrades, and yes, some licensing stuff. I am going to be putting it on some DRM free digital download services. That costs money initially. (Not set in stone, so don't quote me on that) :dong:

2. The proof is the work I have done in the business. 3D modelling, programming, etc. Most of the projects were for non-gaming related software. I have made plenty of games, but never really put them onto the internet or whatever. Just played them myself. :dontknow:

3. I'm not "learning". I already did that!

4. People would pay for that as long as it was a reasonable price. I would gladly pay 4.99 for it. :)

5. Why do you keep reiterating that my project will fail? That isn't really constructive. Nor is it very positive. It's bummin me out, man! :vollkommenauf:
