help downgrading from fsm

well i bricked from using downgrade pup in 4.3 tut. but i was told i might be able to fix without a flasher by trying in fsm. i got a usbtinymkii from a while ago. i got the hex files but i'm unsure if i follow the tut for going back to 3.41 or if theres a different tut i should be following in. also if theres a different tut i should be following could you link me so i know i'm using the right on. also once i downgrade in fsm will i loose anything because i think i remember people saying a while ago that they loose internal hd space. any help is much appreciated.

what tut are you talking about.

i think if you go in fsm on firmware 3.56+ you can't get out.

the question is exist the LV2diag point on 3.60++ or not i dont have decryptet files to take a look into it. so the only think is for thoes how stay in 3.60++ fsm and no have any change to go out tray to resign the existing LV2diag files with the key use for 3.60++ FW

this is the only option i know atm.

if you have the resign files for SCE tool you have only to make a point for it or change one of them and try it out.

tray this if you have the 360 appkeys

scetool.exe --decrypt Lv2diag.self Lv2diag.elf
rename Lv2diag.self Lv2diag.self.bak
scetool.exe -v --sce-type=SELF --compress-data=TRUE --skip-sections=TRUE --key-revision=10 --self-auth-id=1010000001000003 --self-vendor-id=01000002 --self-type=APP --self-app-version=0001000000000000 --self-fw-version=0003006000000000 --encrypt Lv2diag.elf Lv2diag.self
del Lv2diag.elf

the "--self-auth-id=1010000001000003 " is wrong as that is for retail games and their updates

open the lvself with a hex editer and search for offset 0x70 the id is 0x8 length

the id would be 10700003FF000001

i'll try and explain what happend better i was following the tut on tortuga for upgrade to 4.3 from 4.21. so i had to downgrade back to 3.55 before upgrading to 4.3. when i tried install the downgrader pup it copied the files fine no problem, and then it black screened. i waited for a while before turning off and back on and i get glod. can't get into recovery or boot up regular. i was told by someone that i might be able to fix my brick by downgrading in fsm. i was just wondering if i should downgrade to 3.41 or if a different cfw would be better.i was on 4.21 v1.09. if that doesn't work idk i guess i'll have to try and find some1 to flash it back with my nor dump

i know it was only an example how it will work to resign them.

i have today made it 4 times never have problem only if i change the HDMI channel on my TV an switch back its blacksrennet to but its the problem with my tv i have to reconnect the hdmi cable.

there are two points wat happen.
1. you have a NAND and you have just delet your flash an without any flash files no recovery no bootup

2. you have a hd crash swap HD if you on nor you cat info to reinstall you FW.

if this dosnt work then you have to take a flasher

Would i be better off paying someone to reflash it with my backup and if so who is relieable in usa?

Bi0Hazard 10-30-2012 12:07 AM

swapped hard-drive like you said and was able to recover back to 3.55 hybrid in the tut from the downgrade pup thanks for ur help. let u know how it goes once i update

Bi0Hazard 10-30-2012 01:29 PM

well i was able to recover back to 4.3 and everything went fine. think i may have turned off the ps3 to soon after black screening. learned a few things always use regualr video cable n not hdmi when doing that stuff. anyways is there a way to recover my old hard drive from that because i would really like to get all my info back. i'm a little worried about just plugging it in and hoping it works would like a little info on that. if it was from me unplugging the ps3 to soon would plugging that drive back in fix it after i reinstalled the fw on the new drive? would it brick again sence the drive is corrupted from the bad install.
