A Tip to UK folks
 

Just popped into my local cashconverters and grabbed myself a slim 150gb ps3 on ofw 3.41 for £100. They also had 2 more below ofw 3.55 and i was fortunate enough to take my pick. The guys are also willing to test each PS3 for the firmware you're looking for. So give them a call or visit direct and grab that rare PS3 you might be seeking. I wasted too much time on eBay emailing folks who have no idea what firmware their system is on or when they last updated their systems and also all the other uncertainties in regards to buying online. Prior to all this my old phat ps3 was once on cfw during late 2010, i later decided to update to the ofw 3.56 just to play MGO online.

So again, they do exist, happy hunting and good luck.

I remember emailing people on ebay in hope of grabbing a 2nd 3.55 PS3...It's hilarious when they say they "don't know what firmware version it's on". They mean "I know it's on a firmware version above 3.55 but hope that by being ambiguous you still might bid".

lol, then you just tell them to turn it on and go to the system info to check. And then you never hear from them again :P

thats how and where i got my first 3.55. they very helpfull.

Saw one of your posts in keano's downgrade service thread, did you get any of your 3 PS3's downgraded by him?

nope i didnt because i received a very cheap 3.55 slim however i am going to use baileys downgrade service very soon.

He's stopped doing it mate.
