Disable PS3 updates
 

Hi,:hello:
Im on kmeaw 3.55, however i have been intrigued into how i can now play online via the psn .pkg (enabler and disabler) however i want to ask is there any way i can play online (and be connected to the net) and still disable the PS3 updates so i can remain on kmeaw 3.55 as i have a nephew who may update it whilst connected to the net.

So my question is do i use the 9.99fw spoofer, and if so how does it work.

Turn off automatic updates and disable auto-sign in. Installing a spoofer will help.

will the spoofer 9.99 work with SEN enabler? I don't think so. would be great if someone could verify that.

But if i disable automatic updates what hapens if going on iplayer or putting a newer game prompts an update

The automatic update setting is disabled to stop FIRMWARE updates from silently downloading and installing. A spoofer should fix all your issues.

I thought spoofer and SEN enabler are not usable at the same time, are they?

I was asked the same question with a huge amount of disbelief! as if there was no other way than to use a spoofer in order to protect my PS3 from upgrading. the last 2 years I just paid attention that no one ever put an ethernet cable or an original game with a higher FW into my PS3. Now I use a spoofer and don't have to worry about that at all.

So how do you protect your PS3?
