Heads up people using this, G.B patched this in update 1.02 in order to do this you can't have any updates installed, after you get your keys its safe to update ^_^ enjoy


Alright this Mod is for people who already have one of the DLC's installed for this game. If you dont please go support gearbox and purchase them ^_^

what to do:

step 1: backup all your Borderlands 2 save files and profile data from within the XMB. This is just a precausion step

step 2: take my INI file ( since i have taken the liberty of modding the file for you) and place it here:

dev_hdd0/game/your game ID (either BLUS or BLES)/USRDIR/DLC/POPREMIERCLUB/LIC/place file here

now remember to rename the original file to WILLOWDLC.INI.BAK (so you have the original in there)

Load game and continue your game, when you log in it will give you the message I have used as a display image for this thread ^_^

Make sure your logged in when loading the game or key message wont pop for some reason

save the game then return back to the file location and change the new INI to - WILLOWDLC.INI.MOD and rename the .bak one back to WILLOWDLC.INI.

Load game and enjoy 250 keys, if for some reason you happen to use all 250 keys O.o just redo the mod and you will get 250 more.

You can reload it again again and each time it will give you more golden keys. 256 is not the max ^_^

I just made it easy for you so you didnt have to pull the file out and mod it then replace and blah blah. Just a one stop file mod for you folks ^_^

I had my profile data I believe come into an issue with this. I ended up the first time still have my normal key count then after tying again it went to 255 however my bonus stats were missing. All the badass ranks were still earner but the bonus stats were gone

All of that red text hurts my eyes.

you should try to set it to 250 and install it then try setting at 249 and install that, it works on the xbox (different process but the same basic thing) and there sre people on over 1000 golden keys and i my self have 420 on my xbox

Red text gone Boss ^_^ lol took it out cause there was no need for that anymore as i have tested it recently to see if it would go higher then 256 and it does ^_^

not sure what you did wrong cause i have 500+ keys right now and everything that you say isnt working for you anymore, is still functioning 100% for me. I dont post things that will harm peoples Saves or console. Must be User error on your end maybe? :dontknow:

it works bud ^_^ trust me on that lol I used 25keys to get my badass rocket launcher lol its 175k x 9 plus elemental damage ^_^

Did some research and gearb0x patched / fixed this in update 1.02. You have to remove all gamedata in game data utility. Then do this mod without any updates installed, you will need the mechromancer dlc installed though ^_^ I just tried and it works again :-)

yep did this a while back ago. can do up to 255 keys.
usually just give it away when in a full room of peeps. have what i need now, so why not spread the wealth
