Didn't want to make a new thread about NAND DEX->CEX but with new multiMAN 4.10.00...

Hi all,

Was wondering with this new MultiMAN version 4.10.00 it said with support for NAND flashes including 239MB AND 256MB.

Now since I have my original flash, could I simply rename it to the proper file format recognized in MultiMAN to have it first flash my original file back on top of my current running flash, exit out of multiMAN WITHOUT rebooting, toggle the Quality Assurance Flag (Q&A Flag), and if I am not mistaken from the update menu, install 3.55 OFW once and then again (for de-hashing) and THEN install KMEAW and then so on so forth?

Thanks for your responses and your time in reading this.

@TheWhiteTyger

How did you backup your flash?
If you used Preloader, I converted from DEX 4.21 to Rebug REX 4.21 yersterday with my Preloader backup.

I posted what I did here:

Wow thanx for the quick response. It was by using @CaptainCPS-X 's CEX->DEX tutorial (the hard way, step by step linux dump)

@TheWhiteTyger

It all depends on how you backupped your flash.
Whatever method used to backup, should be used to reflash.

If you used preloader, you should be able to follow my guide but if you used something else then I don't know how to help unfortunately.

Phuck it, I'm going for it, I'll post results after process is completed. I have read through your tutorial and everything makes sense to me, but i'm going to attempt the QA flag dehash in DEBUG first before I use preloader and flash just to make sure my arse is covered.

Thanks again @JonahUK for the informative guide, and I have confidence this will see me to the end without a brick. *fingers crossed*

(Besides, even if I do brick, it's my fault in the first place, so all will be well in the end.)

EDIT: I don't think I can QA Flag in DEX, so just gonna proceed with the guide.

@TheWhiteTyger

Good luck mate. Hope it works out for you!

Anything you are unsure of in my guide, just give us a mention and I'll see if I can help.

Will do!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Whew! I successfully flashed it, but the colors turned on me, as I have never seen my PS3 do a yellow light. When I saw that, I thought I was phucked, but it started up and did the initial setup so I breathed again, now installing OFW and going up to REBUG REX 4.21... I think I am safe so no worries.

Thanks much for all your help @JonahUK and thanks so much @CaptainCPS-X for the many months of the use of psudo-DEBUG unit. And also many thanks to all who helped make all of this happen.

EDIT: So this is confirmed to work with the NAND PS3 systems that were converted with the CEX->DEX guide of @CaptainCPS-X . Model # CECHA01
