Usb 2.0 on PS2
Hi all,
is it possible in some way to use usb 2.0 on ps2?? |
Nope, unfortunately.
|
I believe that the hardware is the same..so which could be the problem?
|
A "very" small part of me had hope that someone was posting a hardware mod. *cries bitterly*

I bought a ps2 at 1€ but the laser does not work.
I tryed to recover it with an optical spectrum analyzer but there is no way. |
If you find someone who has an mcfreeboot memory card made, they can make you one too. You can then load backups from an IDE hard drive that fits in the expansion slot in the PS2. You will need...
PS2 Network Adapter IDE Hard Drive That's all, or if the laser has any juice in it at all, then you could make your own with a genuine copy of 007 Nightfire. Do some google searches on it, it's very easy. |
there is a way to load games through usb 2.0 on ps2 its called usbloader i think , but it really is **** , it lags on most of the cut scenes , bin your slim get a fat one and get a network card :)
http://sksapps.com/opl/downloads/OpenPS2Loader_0.8.zip this is what your looking for , but you have have fmb in your ps2 already :) |

usbloader doesn't change the fact that the USB ports in the PS2 hardware-wise is USB 1.1 :P And to OP, only option if you want to run games without lagging (due to the slow USB 1.1), or without disc (due to your broken drive), is if the PS2 is a phat one that can have a IDE drive installed in it. :) |
