[Suggestion] Ban people who meets this criteria

This is getting ridiculous sometimes, so that is why I am opening this recommendation thread.

Please take in consideration banning people that meet the following criteria:

- User ask a question, when it has been answered at least "X" number of times, and its clearly available on the forums.

- User acts without gratitude to other users / members / group / ps3hax , and demand "X" service like if this was a "business" and they paid "X" person to work for them.

- User becomes a troll, and start writing non-related content in threads to purposely create a mess around.

I believe if these 3 and probably more little things are considered, the site will be a lot nicer to read.

I don't have anything against the noobs, we all been noobs at something at some point, the problem is when noobs don't know the history of the scene, and don't show respect to those people who deserve it, and they come here to PS3HAX like if it was theirs and start messing things up for veteran / regular members.

I hope @GregoryRasputin / @hellsing9 / @Pirate can do something about these situations happening lately.

Thanks so much in advance, if I remember another recommendation I will add it later here as well.

SeeYa!

I get what he means, it's pure frustration sometimes... maybe give warns, but banning is a bit harsh.

@CaptainCPS-X It's a good idea but it's not easy to *apply* it without making more mess.

Quote:

1) If someone creates a thread two times with the same content and different title = Infraction or Warning.

That's why the infractions exists to gave to the user and the staff enough time to evaluate the situation and even give some time to the user to reconsider about his actions.
If the user keep with this erratic behaviour get's banned.

- User acts without gratitude to other users / members / group / ps3hax , and demand "X" service like if this was a "business" and they paid "X" person to work for them.
Happens all the time, if staff has to do something about = Insults, no respect and hit and runs that only want a download link and use some temp-mail service to register, make some one hit wonder thread and then vanish into thin air..
We have to change our statuses to JUDGES instead of MODERATORS because will have to ban anyone who did not respect any kind of infraction or presence of the *law* or indeed mods telling him/her to calm down and stop being a d0uche.

Some users will see staff (us) as some kind of threat or some kind of police.
Yes, in some way we are the ones to keep things in order.
But some situations or some threads *wave* so much that it's almost impossible even spot some spambot unless some user reports it.

Users reports are the ones who gave us some hint about certain *tight* situation on a thread sometimes but most of the times any moderator has to follow 19 pages to try to understand why 4 users (including sometimes a senior) ended insulting some random guy.

Quote:

- User becomes a troll, and start writing non-related content in threads to purposely create a mess around.
When this type of user is spotted = starts the infracts and then ban.
Most of them don't want to listen (read) what staff has to say, happened before will happen again.

To EARN respect, some people NEED to understand what RESPECT is.
That's why we have aggressive n00bs asking imperative some download link when they don't even read the rules or used the search function on the board.

So long story short, it's a cool idea...but it's *nazi* in some point because what i said above for *shutdown* some problematic ones maybe you shutdown someone that has nothing to do with some specific problematic situation or attitude.

That's why we have Moderators, S-mods (that act as moderators too) and many users that report when something is happening on certain thread.

Well, it could be a temporary ban, like 1 or 2 weeks ban, that could be upgraded to full ban if the user doesn't learn from that.

Warnings are fine, but yeah, its frustrating to see all these things happening on a great site / forum.

SeeYa!

The one who don't cares or don't plans to stay on this community don't give a flying **** about a warning or attention.

When i started as Mod i started to infract users one month later because i tought that with just a warning some of them will stop some fight. Today? you can edit the whole post of the user and halt him with a warning or attention and that don't stop them for keep breaking rules.

Yeah the infracts have that *length* depends if the user is a repeat offender.

How about users cant post a new thread until they hit a 100 comment count
If you see someone spamming comments to make that count ban them for 48 hours.

I think Gregory/hellsing and Pirate do a pretty good job about keeping things under control.

Thanks guys for making ps3hax the site to go to with all the up to date info and not just game mods.
When its new I can find it here!

Too much time, also we will have the same problem as b/s/t section.
Users spamming (like a spambot) to reach 25 in order to use that section.

In this case is worst if they hit a 100 comment count, hax with heavy traffic influx and many other variables will be slower and in some point will lure undesired *guests*.

Not a bad idea...but @GregoryRasputin and @Pirate know better about this.

It's time consuming and some of us including @manster and @DEFAULTDNB as many other mods and s-mods we *Work* on different hours.
You will see me most active at night for example and we *switch* turns with greg, pirate, manster, etc.
On sundays i think the only one online sometimes is me..now not too much. (for situations beyond the board) but @DEFAULTDNB is a machine ;) and greg and pirate as the staff what can i say? xD

Don't know really.

Im a prick.. Id just ban :D
I figure if someones first post or two are retarded then you can pretty well assume 90% of their posts will be retarded

If this site had something like this in place - I probably wouldn't be very active here and would move to a different PS3 site for help and I think that would go for a few others as well. 10 may be more reasonable, although once again spamming would happen.

I don't think I am even half way to 100 posts.
