accessory port? what kind of future accessories
 

anyone have any insight on what sony plans on using the accessory port for? like has sony unveiled any ideas or patents on what they play to use it for?

It's there and that is all we know.

Sony has not announced any accessory that uses it yet.

Lol. I guess it's there for future-proofing. Kind of like the PSP had an IR port... Well hopefully it won't get removed like the IR port.

I read a while back that it's possibly going to be a TV-OUT port. PS Vita dev kits have not only a standard USB 2.0 port but also a HDMI port so it would kind of make sense since Sony would manufacture their own proprietary TV-OUT cable and make a lot of first-hand cash from it unlike widely available £2 HDMI cables...

i would bet on a dock at some point to plug it up to tv and being able to use a ps3 controller to play it while connected would be nice too

now that would be ****ing awsome! but i also heard that they werent going to allow any tv-out function because they dont want nit competeing with the ps3 or some dumb **** like that...:dontknow:
