Custom CPU Fan

I just got my first PS3 of ebay for 30 pounds and it works fine, but the fan sucks. Its loud and not very powerful, the system overheats. I have time and resources and I would like to make something along the lines of this: Playstation 3 YLOD stock fan to PC heat sink modification - YouTube

The CPU is roughly 40*40 mm and the GPU is 41*41 mm, was wondering if this would be able to keep them (one for each) cool - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Cooler-Mas...item5898cd2be1

Or, would i be better off getting a more traditional cpu cooler like in the video? (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/StarTech-c...item564d92cf38)

Apparently the RAM chips also have to be cooled, so suggestions for that are welcome.
Thanks

Hey, i have had my ps3 for 5 years and after sending it off for repair for the fan going loud on me there was no fix and my ps3 still goes really loud, it does not overheat and the air coming out the back is also cold and not warm or hot at all. So I modded it with 2 120mm fans at the bottom of the ps3 to provide better cooling, no different and now i have been thinking about actually taking out the internal cooler and making a custom mod for it but keeping the default heatsink but replacing the fan with some sort of pc fan which will do a similar job good enough but be much quiter.
