Stuck at 4.40

I have an old FAT 60gb ps3 with broken BD.
I try to update to Rogero CFW4.30 v2.03 on ofw 3.55 (before I did the update I was thinking Rogero CFW4.30 v2.03 will disable BD checks, I must have read the info wrong) console will rsod.

I updated the console with downgrader file 4.25

next

In recovery menu says 4.40 etc etc

( So Im in hybrid 3.55) but soon as I start the console I get system sound then rsod.

I cant run the QA flag.

I forgotten to run factorymode v.01 that disables BD checks

Is there a solution to fix this

4.30 v2.03:

The CFW have both noBD/noBT patches to allow installation on consoles with broken BluRay Drive or Bluetooth board.

Yeah, there's a solution. You should be able to run the QA flag after you use the downgrader. The 4.40 is normal.

sry guys I dont get it. How Im I enable to run qa flag when console get rsod at boot, but I can enter recovery meny ? Is there any pup file that I can run in recovery meny that restores to 3.55

Should be able to just use 3.55ofw to go back to it in recovery mode.

@exxel

no downgrader first.

before my console was rsod on ofc 3.41 I did update to ofw 3.55 still rsod after ofw I ran Kmeaw_355 still rsod, after kmeaw I ran I think it was factory reset/mode v.01 ps3 did boot no rsod. after couple moths ps3 hdd crashed.

I replaced 60 for another 60gb. used ps3key to downgrade to 4.41.

upgraded to ofw 3.55. ran Rogero CFW4.30 v2.03 on ofw 3.55

I did get the rsod, ran 4.25 downgrader pup

now Im stuck rsod (always stuck on rsod) but enable to enter recovery.

sry my eng explaining is not top of the line :)

I know the ps3 works but I need to get back to 3.55 via recovery.

or is my console dead ?

Lv2diag.self fix?

Never had to try it but I believe it only works from 3.55 firmware so you need to be on that before starting.

exxel 12-05-2012 08:22 AM

I have run ofw 3.41 , 3.55 and PS3UPDAT-Rogero-355.37A

same message "No applicable update data was found" need 4.40 or later

hmm rsod and no fix. even Lv2diag.self/fsm no go

if I enter fsm system sound apply rsod, restore to Lv2diag.self file2 system starts without system sound and rsod

Maybe I have to go over to tortuga-cove.com forums and ask over there

Edit: I think I solved the problem did find solution over there. in revovery it says 3.55 or later :)

Still my console works just need to fix file that bypasses rsod

I've had rsod twice in the past and the only way to get around it for me was to reflash the pup that gave me rsod via recovery.

exxel 12-05-2012 10:33 AM

I did more google search and I for now found another solution.

ran 355-NOTHEROS-RSOD
Im in :) xmb works
then ran rsodfix.gnpdrm.pkg
reboot everything works.

now I wonder if I update to lates rogero cfw if I will get rsod or not, I could try or wait for someone to respond. or just stay @ 355-NOTHEROS-RSOD
