PS3 CECH-2501A downgrade failed. console bricked.
 

Hi. i have 2010 year ps3. i bought it with 3.41 firmware. after upgraded over network untill 4.31.
got e3 flasher. i made all as in tutorial.
readed bios dump. checked it with dump checker and it said that dump OK.
then i used e3_downgrade.bin . after process end my ps3 not power on . it power only for 5-10 seconds then off. no any info on tv. no any downgrade dongles detect.
i use e3 unbrik tutorial. wrred SBL . first used unbriker bin, after original dump flashed. after e3_downgrade.bin. but still same. but if i flash back to console original backup dump it power on. BUT on XMB screen i get FACTORY / ERVICE MODE.
please help me restore my ps3 . what i can do ?

your stuck in factory service mode... you have to exit fsm and that will do the trick... just follow the steps that's posted on the tut to exit fsm ....

Open the folder “service mode files” and inside you will see a folder called “get out of service mode” copy the file inside to your usb stick. Put the usb stick back into your ps3 it will boot then the hdd light will flash then turn off. Remove the usb stick. (the file is Lv2diag.self (201.42 KB) get out FSM)

i did thi. but not work. i think it becouse PS 3 at this time 4.31 stuck FSM . Lv2diag.self work with this version ?

You can still do the downgrade being stuck in FSM.

Just follow the guide below from Chapter 2.

Did you use min. version checker? Maybe your console is not able to downgrade to 3.55.

I know you said it is from 2010, but has it ever been fixed?

yes. when i use patched dump bin or e3_downgrade bin my ps same as in video. when i used backup dump it turn on with 4.31 version but FSM in XMB screen

its was 3.41 version when i bought it. im 10000% sure. becouse i used 3.55 cfw with this ps3 before. just after it was updated over internet to 3.70 ofw. afteer to 4.31 ofw.

I know what it is.

You are already in FSM. So instead of booting to the connect controller screen.
Put the usb flash drive, with the Lv2diag.self and PS3UPDAT.PUP on it, in the right port.

i did. but no action with usb flash drive while ps3 booting. so even with this files in flash drive connected right usb port ps3 power on same.
