Theory: Going Online with CFW and avoid perma Ban

I was doing my daily research today, and I came across a thread here in the forum where some1 managed to get their console temporarily unbanned by Changing their MAC ( Perma FIX for MAC ) and ConsoleID ( Temp. Fix ), all this happened with random digits he typed in, no real MAC or ConsoleID was used.

So I was thinking for those who already have CFW, and want to go Online ( I don't get it why people would do that but we are all different so I accept your needs! ), how about changing MAC for an unreal one, and ConsoleID before going ONLINE !?

let me try to create a scheme:

My Ps3 has mac: 123 and ConsoleID: 321 ( Fictional numbers :laugh: ) on CFW

I Change my mac to: 125 and ConsoleID to: 311, Test it with new acc, worked ? YES: Go on. NO: try new values.

Play online as much as you want. got banned ? No worries change mac and consoleID again.

want to go back to your OFW without worries ? Reset the values to your true values.

The downside of this is you gota change consoleID everytime before going online as it seems not to be working permanently unless you do it with E3 flasher directly inside NOR dump and reflash the dump into the console?


I know I might get flamed here because I am trying to find a way to go Online and avoid your Console of getting perma hammered. But ey at least I am trying something.

THIS METHOD WAS NOT TESTED AS I AM STILL WAITING TO GET MY HANDS ON AN E3 FLASHER!

It's mac address clone. You replace certain values until you change your IP (PC related).
So yeah in theory you can spoof many other addresses as well console ID'S.

MAC and IP addresses are separate, and changing MAC address does not also change the IP, again they are separate. Using this method will put other potential or already in use PS3s and users/owners at risk, so if you are a mother****ing ****** bag **** sucking son of a ***** then go ahead and do such a method, if you are smart stay the hell off PSN with modded PS3s.

Everytime i clone my mac address or when i use some linksys router with linux if i change HEX values i got a new brand and already used IP.
Hence my ISP has static IP. (On PC, never tried on PS3 or any other console since it's plain stupid at least for me).

So from my understanding maybe im wrong but when you change/clone the MAC (messing with hex) address, your Ip also changes.

I don't get it tough what's op goal with this one, will bring more problems.
Civvies (OFW'S) will get exposed and **** will hit the fan trying to bypass or avoid a ban doing this kind of things.

Doing this they have all the means necessary to banhammer anyone.
