Ps3 Mbps speed
 

Please can anyone help, my line is pulling 76mbps however my ps3 is connected to the router via Ethernet cable and it's only pulling 24.3mbps and upload 6.8mbps !!! Is there a reason the ps3 is not running at the same speed as my laptop?? My mat type is set to open if this helps? Thanks for any help

Can you describe your setup a bit more, what are you uploading/download. Are you using an FTP connection? What homebrew are you using as the FTP server if using FTP, and what client on PC? Is PC connected to router directly? What is the link speed on the rouer -> pc etc etc etc.

he nerver said something about ftp... i think he means the internet connection to psn/sen?
for the second one, you will never get full speed on your ps3, cause psn/sen sucks, same for xbl, but it is a bit better there ^^

I doubt it, I don't think there's any chance of getting a download speed of 24.3mbps over PSN.

PSN speed is downright awful, no matter your connection. Xbox live download can't even be compared in the same sentence as PSN download speed.

Sorry I just mean my general upload/ download speed, I'm on finer optic broad band, my ps3 is on a wired connection and laptop is wifi and even though my ps3 is wired its still slower than my laptop on wifi!!!! When I mean slower I mean the general Mbps speed, in settings in the pan menu( Internet connection test) as follows,nat type2,connection speed(download)24.6
Upload6.5. When I do a speed test on laptop it's pulling 73.3mbps download and 13mbps upload!!!! Not jail broken by the way however is love it to be
