PS3 Bricked? Need help.
 

Hey Guys,

a friend of mine bought a 1tb hdd from samsung for his ps3 slim.
when he installed the hdd, and started up the ps3. he got the information that the systemsoftware is corrupte(or something like that).

Informations:

Firmware: Rogero 4.30 V2.03
PS3 Slim: CECW-2504A
What we wanted to do?: We wanted to swap the HDD from a 60gb to a 1tb hdd. we removed the HDD and inserted the new one. (normaly i have experience with this. i own 3 ps3 fat and everyone have a 1tb. two of them i replaced the hdd when the console was on 4.30 V2.03)

now, if we startup the console it comes the information "A Systemsoftware error appeared". When we want to downgrad to 3.55 with the 4.25 to 3.55 PuP, we get the error a error "a critical error appeared" when we want to update the firmware. when we try option 3 4 and 5 on rec menu we get "Corruptet file system"

1st remove hard drive and tur on you should get " cannot find hard disc "

if he replace the hdd with his old one. he gets again this information with the corruptes systemsoftware.

i forgot to say, hes on Rogero 3.40 v2.03, we will now try to downgrade to 3.55, install then the new HDD and then upgrade again.

i added some more informations.

try with original hdd and with 2.03 pup on a usb stick in the correct folders

the ps3 starts reloading the files and and on 70%-73% the ps3 restarts and doesnt show a video input anymore. :-/

we are testing it now with the new 1tb hdd. lets see if it works there.

edit: if we try it with he 1tb we get the error 8002f281. we will test it again with the old 60gb hdd.

maybe you have messed the flash up with trying to use the downgrader pup. I could be wrong. maybe @baileyscream will come along and chime in or @playerkp420

i hope someone can help my friend. :-(

the error is a bad update
format your usb stick (full format)
then format the hdd in windows
put hdd back in ps3
put usb stick in port 0
start recovery
option 6

okay.

we will test this.
