yeah they was even still make games too for the ps2, eg u can get fifa 13 for the ps2

Meh...to me the PS2 was always quantity over quality.

the ps2 was and still is a classic.i still play god of war 1&2 on it.

PS2 pretty much gave you no reason to own another console. You would really own the Xbox for Halo 2/Xbox Live and a Gamecube for typical Nintendo exclusives. PS2 had all the good multiplatform games and all the great exclusives and as far as consoles go was the best platform to play GTA on.

Over the years I would guess I owned around 8 PS2 consoles. Most of them I gave away to various nieces, nephews, or friends kids that didn't have a console. I always preferred the quality of the Gamecube and XBOX. Now you can go to local thrift shops and find PS1 and PS2 consoles at anywhere from $5-$15. Aside from the games the DVD playback feature sold a lot of PS2 consoles for $ony.

Idk if to like this thread. Shame that will *Close* production of PS2's.
But well each product has it's own life span.
