How to jailbreak FAT PS3 80GB V4.3 OFW?
Hi,
1st of all, I'd like to say that I'm very new to these stuff, and I've been reading and searching about for only 2 days now. My PS3 was hacked on V3.55 and I had Multiman V1.16, pretty old one. I searched online And I found that there's a newer version of multiman (V4.17 I think) and it works on PS3 V4.30. Note: At that time I didn't know what OFW, CFW, and JFW were!! So, I downloaded from my laptop the update V4.30 (obviously it was OFW) and updated my PS3 using my USB flash drive. Then I downloaded Rogero V4.30 - V2.03, and while trying to install it on my PS3, it got stuck on 72% saying (the data is corrupted (8002F957)) It was then I did more research and figured that I updated to OFW 4.3 not CFW 4.3! As I read more, There's a solution suggests to downgrade back to CFW 3.55 and then install the Rogero update! I could have done it when I was still on CFW 3.55 yesterday! So, will you guys help me out? Is there any other solution than downgrading? Because I'll need to buy some hardwares, and I checked some links to know exactly which one supports my PS3 (NAND or NOR) Thank you in advance. |
I suggest you to get an E3 flasher to downgrade to 3.55 ofw -> 3.55 cfw ->4.30cfw

Well I'm checking online for the e3 flasher, it's way expensive! $75 and $91 not mentioning the shipping!

I'm sorry, but fat 80 gb doesn't tell us if it's NAND or nor. E3 may not even work for you anyway if its a NAND fat. Either way you need some sort of flasher it they aren't cheap. If you don't want to buy a flasher, then send it to someone and let them do it.

Mine is 80GB, but not sure which one is it, how do I know? But I think it's the one that needs NOR flasher..? |
Look at the model. On the back of the unit it will be like cechAxx,Bxx,Gxx, etc....if it is cechGxx or earlier, then it is a NAND. CechH and newer models are nor.
