Will I loose backed up games if I update to Rogero 4.30
 

Ok, so the question is pretty much as it says in the title.

If I update to rogero 4.30 from KMEAW 3.55 will I have to re-upload all the games to my ps3 or should they be safe? Also I know I have to go back to stock 3.55, will that erase them also?

On a side note (lets see if I understand this right), if I install toggle_qa, I will be able to downgrade from Rogero 4.30 back to 3.40 which is the ORIGINAL firmware that the system came with.

Just asking as I'm planning on doing this probably tomorrow (after I have re-read the tutorials).

yeah pretty much.

Another thing is make sure when your downloading any firmware make sure you md5 check even when it's on the USB check better be safe then sorry only takes a minute also when updating there is a choice to let system turn of after update select it best way if screen goes black don't panik it's part of the update procedure what ever you do don't turn of Ps3 or you would brick

I have been up from kmeaw and down to kmeaw and back up to Rogero without losing anything until I corrupted my hard drive and lost my data long story all good should be safe

No mate you don't lose any of your backed-up games. It's just a FW update.

?????did u even update the firmware once in your live?

Yeh pretty much a fail answer.

Anyway install Toggle QA from kmeaw, verify it as working with the button combo. Update to latest multiman and update via recovery menu to Rogero 4.30 v2.03 (important to use this version).

You will not lose any data either.
