Any PS2 PHAT Mods?
 

I haven't had a PS2 for 5 years and I am wondering if their are any software modifications for the PS2 PHAT. I got mine free because someone wasn't able to trade theirs in at a game store and was about to get thrown away, so my dad asks if we could have it :) Please respond if any :D:questionmark:

Freemcboot. Google it. It is really easy. You need a game to exploit it, like 007 agent under fire, or any of the exploitable games. There is a list. Free mcboot is open source and free, don't pay for it. If you are in USA, I can do it for you if you send me a ps2 memory card.
Edit: just saw that you aren't from USA. Well. It is easy to do. Just read up on it.

Well, we can figure that out if you decide to send it. Find out how much the shipping would be, and figure out if it is worth it to you to send it to me. Otherwise, you can try to do it yourself. No joke, it is really easy. I can send you the files you need, or you can download them, by googling freemcboot, then all you need is a game that is exploitable.

I belive shipping would be about $10 and I can go to gamestop and get any game for $0.99 and then free files. Free files. Probley cheaper unless I cant get it too work. I personally never had interest into the PS2 (More PS3) and just decided to do something different. Thanks! :)

Welcome man. Like I said, just search to find out what games you can use, and there are plenty of video tuts on YouTube to show you what to do. Files are on freemcboot.

$10 in shipping/packaging is more than fair to save the hassle of creating your own mcfreeboot memory card from scratch (finding exploitable game, sorting out correct files then opening ps2/swapping disk with backup to make exploit work etc etc etc)

It is very easy for people who have a natural flair for doing things like this, for others. It's quite confusing.

OP if you wanted to save money, why not just buy a memory card off ebay really cheap and get the postage address set to Mr Big Bones.

Actually, I probably have an extra 1 or 2 that I can freemcboot for ya, and you can pay me for the memory card and shipping. Like I said, I am only charging for shipping and materials, nothing else. This is free software and I would never charge for it. If you want to save some money, or learn to do it yourself, I can understand that too. Learning to do something yourself is worth it's weight in gold.
