Can i Install rebug 4.30.1 standard over rogero 4.30?
 

Can i Install rebug 4.30.1 standard over rogero 4.30? if not, then do i have to downgrade back to 3.55 to install rebug 4.30.1 standard???
and do i have to install from recovery mode??

according to the read me installation guide it will install over any cfw.

REBUG 4.21.x AND HIGHER

INSTALL:
From XMB install REBUG 4.21.x AND HIGHER over any 3.55 OFW/CFW/MFW or the same or lower firmware version CFW with spkg sig check patched or any firmware version CFW with spkg sig check patched and QA enabled.

I guess that's the problem, those words don't clarify if it's "ok" or not.

So basically OP, if you're QA enabled, then it's fine I believe...

what i always do when i want to install any other cfw when im on rogero 4.30

use the 4.25to3.55.PUP by rogero (it also works on 4.30 not only 4.25) and downgrade to hybrid 4.30-3.55

enable QA flag (install toggle_qa and open it... ps3 should restart with 3 beeps)

download and update to rogero cfw 3.55 v3.7
optional: disable QA flag

rogeros cfw 3.55 v3.7 is a nice base fw (nice downgrade compatibility etc)
you can install (im 80% sure) any fw when youre on it

if you want to use no risk you can update to ofw 3.55 (doesnt matter QA dis/enabled)



another way -> get on rebug 4.21 and then update which will 100% work
