BRICK after downgrade (QA?), upgrade to 3.55
 

Hi Guys,

I have succesfully downgraded and was proceeding to the installation of OFW 3.55. I couldn't get the QA procedure done ( Code didnt do anything ) and remarried the bluray player. I didnt try the QA code after that ( stupid ) and upgraded from Rogero 3.55 to OFW 3.55.
The unit bricked.

I have a NOR dump from the initial downgrade process. Can i just enter Flashfun and work down from there ? If not, what is the procedure ?

Well to be honest, i'm learning stuff pretty quickly. Reason for asking, is simple and not stated ( as far as i know ). My Nor dump is from 4.XX and the current firmware is bricked 3.55OFW.

I can start the downgrade procedure as stated right. Flashfun, solder, reflash backup dump and the whole shebang with no problem being the different firmware startingpoints ?

nahh don't worry just try it .. but make a backup .. for no reason..

Did the E3 flasher unbricking procedure.

After reflashing my original 4.XX dump, the unit starts but no picture and no respons from start button.

Really doesnt do anything :(

What should i do ?

This is the behaviour im having :

"Blackscreen with no hdd activity and only hard reset possible (no brick)"

Power button doesnt work, eject beebs when pressed. USB has no activity.

Ive reflashed my original 4.XX Bios over my 3.55 through flashfun. Flash was correctly done.

Problem 2 : no picture, no HD activity, no USB activity

I have proceeded to downgrade.

E3 Flasher errorcode : 11001000

I'm at my wits end. Who can help me please

Make another backup and check if the result is an exact match to what you flashed ( your patched backup ) . If it's not identical then the flashing was not succesful , even if it didn't give an error it didn't write some data, you need to reseat your clip .
If it's identical ..then try the power+eject+jig step anyway .

I'll dump my flashed firmware. Is this something i can have checked by PS3hax's dump check service ?

Question : the E3 unbricking guide states you need a dump of the firmware BEFORE you bricked. I only have my original dump, not the dump of my last working FW ( 3.55CFW ).

The problem is that my 4.31Dump flashes through Flashfun. After flash, the console is in coma, no picture, usb, etc. If i commence the downgrade procedure, the E3 flasher gives off errorcode 11001000 and fails to downgrade. Have no startingpoint on where to proceed.

I really cant find many people in my situation.

Did you follow what the link said I gave you?
Where does it say to flash your original 4.xx dump?:questionmark:?
You patch your original 4.xx dump with Rogero's PS3 Nor Dump Patcher v0.01. Then flash the patched dump.
You then reboot the PS3 with all switches down, and should see the connect controller screen. Then do the FSM firmware install.

If flashing doesn't work, then the clip is not secured.
To get rid of that error you are getting now on the flasher, update your e3 flasher with the Samsung 10.28 update.bin.

1) Patched original dump with Rogero
2) Assembled PS3 ( left tristate connected to E3 flatcable, clip removed from PS3 )

Nothing, no picture, no usb, no HD. What is wrong do you think?

What is wrong is you are not following the directions correctly.

How are you going to flash the patched dump if your clip is removed from PS3?:questionmark:
