If you used standard RCA cable, than yes, maybe. If you want a nice picture on HDTV, then you have to use component cable.
Have you ever seen GT4 on 1080i resolution? Pure eyegasm. Not all games support that resolution ( only few actually), but most can get into Progressive scan mode, and get a fresh new look.
Here is my video of testing GT4, and recorded with Cell phone, but it still looks very good. For me, this is just amazing, since the console is over 10 years old. :)
