3.6 downgrade to 3.55
 

I have a FAT ps3 on FW 3.6, is there a method to downgrade this to the 3.55 and run some CFW without using my E3flasher?

I still have my USB board that I can use. I can't seem to find any tutorials for a 3.6 to 3.55

Hardware downgrading is the only way from 3.60x...

There are stickies in the same section of the forums that posted this in that explain the process very well. Read through them a couple of times before attempting.

Ok so your not on firmware 3.55, then you will need to download a official firmware 3.55.
This can be found here.

Now that you have downloaded the above pup, create a folder on your usb stick (fat 32)
called PS3. Then in that folder create another folder named UPDATE. Then Place your
update in there. So it should look like this.

X:/PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP

Now update via recovery menu or the xmb. If you dont know how to access recovery menu
then here is a video.


But that didn't work. I just got done doing my old ps3 that was on a 4.3 OFW and got it on a CFW 4.3 using the E3flasher.

I just thought I would get lucky cause this other one was on a 3.6
