PS2 Game pkg to ps3
 

how do i get my GTA San andreas game pkg (4.4gb) to my ps3 to download and install with an external hdd?

Split the pkg into 2 files, each smaller than 4gb, i use hjsplit, you can specify how big you want the parts and it will split them to eg. GTASA.pkg.001 and .002. Put the 2 files onto external hdd, and use multiman to join them on ps3, or installpkg app will detect them as a split file and install it as one.

i cant get the darn thing to load all the way.. it gets to 100% and freezes.

playing it now on a 42inch hd tv ....you can see just how far graphics have come in a very short amount of time....but as i always say...graphics don't make a good game..its all about the gameplay and this hasnt lost anything over the years...still great fun.
