I need help, i wanted to spoof my fat 40gb ps3 and i dont know how.
When i downloaded the REBUG_4.30.1_PS3UPDAT.PUP it's a .pup and i dont know what to do with it. Where do I install it?

The same way you installed FW on 26/12/2010, just change the name of the pup you have to PS3UPDAT.pup and put it in the correct folders on your USB Stick.

Yes you are correct i do have the cfw kmeaw 3.55 installed, the thing is i haven't played with my ps3 hermes got out and it stayed like that. what i did so far:
1 Installed the new multiman
2 installed rebug's packege manager (i have no idea why)
do i need anything else?
are you sure that the only thing i need to do now is putting REBUG_4.30.1_PS3UPDAT.PUP and update my ps3 system from there? should i take any percussions? is there any known bugs or problems

Have a look at the guides and take a bit of time making sure you have all you need is best advice :)

belive me i ve spend all my day looking at that, i think i have it all... i has just trting to get confirmation, but if i skipped something, please tell me.

Install this the same way you did the other pkg files

Then follow the on screen instructions. You will Need to hold down L1 + X. Now give the spoof

to reboot. Go to system settings and check the version number should now be 4.00. (this is correct)
You are still on 3.55. You are only making your ps3 think that it is on 4.00 to keep it from being
updated. Also leave the spoofer in the xmb game menu, so that it can easily be uninstalled.

this is what the guide says but the prblem is i don't have a .pkg file, insted i have a .pup file... what sould i do???

You don't want a spoof file. Either go to kmeaw or ofw then install rebug 4.30 from the USB dongle. This will replace kmeaw and give you an up to date cfw.
