Need Help to find the right tutorials
 

Hi everybody,
I'm a new member and I want to get a CFW running on my PS3, but there are so many information here and I'm lost. Here is what I have:

- PS3 Fat model CECHL04 with OFW 4.31
- E3 Flasher Limited
- Cobra USB Stick

Can somebody tell or show me what steps I have to do to get a CFW running? My goal is to play my games from HDD and still be able to use Playstation Network (Online Gaming etc).

The new CFW Rogero 4.30 V2.05 will let you play online but there is risk.
so my advise is to go with the Dual Boot since you have "E3 Flasher Limited" but you need an extra HD one for CF and another for OF

also you may not need a FSM Dongle, and i do not know about Cobra USB if it could you in SM.
but read and read and most important make sure you have a valid Dump and send it for validation here before flashing it back

thanks for your reply. I already checked the "Fool Proof Guide", but it confused me a lot.
I'm using the E3 Flasher method with dual boot and I'm stuck at the part "Finishing the down grade in service mode".
What is the "dev board" and what is it for? Is that my cobra stick or how do I get a dev board.

yup u can use the cobra as fsm dongle..u cannot use the "new way" with three musketeer patches (430coreos) it can only be used upto 4.30 OFW for now.

Quick question. What is a "FSM dongle" and how do I follow the guide for dual boot now?

Now I ran into a problem. I followed the Ultimate Fool Proof Guide and was doing the step "installing the downgrade patch" -> "one-key downgrade"
I had the sd card in with the two files, started the PS3, waited and pressed start. blue leds turned off. After 15 minutes no blue led turned on again. I tried pushing the stop button...nothing. I turned off the PS3 and now I can't turn it on again. It starts for a second, then you see a yellow light for a sec and then red light blinking and three beeps.

Is there any way to get it back to work? I have a valid dump of my original bios.
