I nearly fell over when I read this a few minutes ago and simply had to share this awesome news!

You’ll be able to play The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker on your Wii U this fall—no, the Wii U isn’t getting backwards compatibility. Nintendo’s remaking the game.
Yep, Nintendo is remaking the cartoonish GameCube Zelda game and giving it the full Wii U treatment, complete with new graphics and Off-TV Play. The remake will be out this fall.
Nintendo announced the news along with the promise of another Zelda game, which they say won’t be ready to announce for a while.

@Annelies I think doing that would detract from the original game.

I dont think they will do that, to keep re-production costs down.

I know. I was just kidding... But seriously, is this going to have anything new added or will it just be upscaled in 720P?

Interesting combo of features (Off tv play :) ), but nothing stand-out-bonus-extra :(

Here's hoping they add some more content rather than just a Graphic overhaul
Wii Motion controls maybe? an extra dungeon or too?

Hmm... The only thing I care about off that list are the updated graphics. I remember getting halfway through this game on GC. I was trying to compare this remake to emulation. Part of me has always wanted to go back and finish it.
