New guy needs simple help.

I got a ps3 cech 2001b. Bought it with no hdd or bluray. Paid $10.00. I have a 250gb sata drive for it. My question is: Is the logic board built on the mobo on this model?

So if I get a complete drive KEM-450A will it work with this unit and read the games?

You would need to remarry the drive. To remarry the drive, the firmware needs to be 3.55.
So if it is on a higher firmware, you would need a hardware flasher to downgrade it.

last question is does it have to be the same size hdd that came with it? Because I have a 320gb also laying here. And thanks again for the help.

Any compatible sata drive will work. Up to 1tb.
