Cobra USB -vs- Cobra ODE ?
 

Hey everyone.

I am new to the whole PS JB scene but basically I have a phat PS3 which I want to Jailbreak in order to play Ps1/Ps2/Ps3 downloads.

From what I read a few weeks bac, I kind of decided that a Cobra USB dongle would be the best bet and noticed that they were going to release a new CFW shortly so I decided to wait a while and check back.

Had a look today, and it appears that team cobra have not only released a new CFW but they have also indicated that they are going to release a Cobra ODE dongle?

Can someone tell me what the difference is? Is the ODE just for those PS3's which were previously unhackable? Because my Ps3 is 1st gen will I be ok with just purchasing the Cobra USB dongle?

Hello @Paul2 best advice (and friendly) i can give you = Wait until the product is on the market.

(They already set release date).

Okay... Ill wait abit longer then... lol

also r u sure that your ps3 is in OFW 3.55 or less?
i can smell that youre on a 4.xx OFW and u need a hardware flasher to get down to 3.55 to jb your PS3... and yes even the cobra dongle/FW needs OFW 3.55 or already installed CFW
