E3 Card Reader ( PS3 Beeping/Sirens ) ?
 

Hello I have just literally -- Got My very first E3 Card Reader and I was told on here on the Website that this Device Can Help Me get into Factory Mode and hopefully boot my PS3 back up again because I can't load the PS3 up at all not even into Recovery Mode all I get is Beeping & Sirens then it shutsdown/turnsoff.

So what files do I need to get and are they available on here to Download & how do I place them onto the Device. Do I need a small SD Card if so does that SD Card have to be Empty or can it already have like files of mine on it ?

Any Information and Help will be very much Appreciated.

If your console is above 3.55, you have to buy hardware flasher to downgrade/jailbreak it.

Its a Phat one.... I was told on here on this Website that all I need is a E3 Card Reader because its an Easy Fix all I want to know is What to do also the First time I got this PS3 it was on 3.55.

One More question What SD Card fits into the E3 Card Reader because I didn't get an SD Card from the place where I bought this E3 Card Reader

I think I have got an SD Card that'll fit it but I want to know does that SD Card have to be Empty or can it already have stuff on it like music & pictures -- or would I have to save them on to my Laptop/PC.

Also what Files do I need to get and download and are they available to download on this website if so please point me to where ---
it'd be appreciated.

First you want to plug the e3 card reader in your PC. Then drag n drop this bin file onto the E3 Upgrader partition.

1. Cut the power from your PS3 by pulling the plug or by the power switch.
2. Insert E3 card reader into the right most USB port.
3. Plug PS3 back in, and press power then eject.
4. Wait for the dongle to communicate with the PS3 and the PS3 will shut off automatically.
5. Put Rogero v3.7 (RENAME TO PS3UPDAT.PUP) and this Lv2diag.self on the root of a FAT32 formatted USB stick.
6. Replace the downgrade dongle with the USB stick, in the right most USB port.
7. Wait for about 4 or 5 minutes for the firmware to install, and the PS3 to shut off by itself.
8. Now put this Lv2diag.self by itself on a FAT32 formatted USB stick.
9. Put the USB stick in the right most USB port and press power on the PS3.
10. Wait for about 30 seconds for the PS3 to shut off by itself.

Hi Thks for the Reply its just in the Stage of installing the firmware ( Wait for about 4 or 5 minutes for the firmware to install, and the PS3 to shut off by itself <-- ) That stage from You steps above now.

I have a Question on the last step ( Wait for about 30 seconds for the PS3 to shut off by itself. ) after that do I turn the PS3 on and hope it loads up ?

Any Help to answer the Small questions above will be much Appreciated.

What step are you on? Follow all the steps, and then yes turn on your PS3. It will boot up like it was brand new. It will say SONY, then ask for you to connect the controller. Then you setup language, time zone, date and time, and network settings.

Is anything wrong ?
 

I'm still on step of installing the Firmware and I believe its been about 4 - 5 Minutes and it still hasn't turned off yet

should I just still leave it

( It's flashing green both the PS3 Light where You/I turn it on and also the Flash Drive its still Flashing Green. )

Any more info will be Appreciated.

It will flash green when it is almost done, then it will shut off. But it will also flash green when it has failed.
Wait a little longer, and if it doesn't shut off by itself in lets say 10 more min. power off and take the usb drive out. There will be a log file on it. Post the contents here.
