good luck getting a decent reply with that last post.
Sign out, create a new account (read all the forum's terms and conditions), check carefully which firmware you have, construct a better sentence and avoid using those f***ing frowny faces. Then perhaps you might get a better response. I'm a noob here too, but I still know that much. |

Right, I'm going to try help this guy: @yengdanica First things: what is your current OFW version? and what model is your PS3? (is it 100x,200x,250x,300x or 400x)??? (check the model by the serial number on the underside or back of your PS3) |
if you really are on OFW 3.40 check my tut
OFW 3.55
to jailbreak any PS3 you need OFW 3.55 installed download OFW 3.55 (here from ps3hax) and rename the file to "PS3UPDAT.PUP" without "" not PS3UPDATE.PUP use an (empty) fat32 formatted usb-stick and move the file PS3UPDAT.PUP to the directory X:\PS3\UPDATE (note that X: is your device letter) plug the USB-sitck on the right port of the PS3 start the PS3 and take out any disc you have go to settings and system update update via storage now let the PS3 update to OFW 3.55 Rogero CEX 4.30 v2.05
*note that rogero 4.30.205 is the recommended CFW I use! (u can use another CFW like rebug or team sdk) download Rogero CEX 4.30 v2.05 http://www.tortuga-cove.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4336 do the same as in spoiler 1 to update the PS3 to CFW 4.30 (spoofed to 4.31) homebrews
to play pirated games you need a backup manager like iris or multiMAN i wont show you how to use backup managers but i'll explain how to install any homebrew download the homebrew (its a .pkg file!) put it on the root of a fat32 formatted USB-stick for example: X:\example.pkg plug the usb-device into the PS3's usb port go in the game column in XMB to *Install Package Files and open it with X your .pkg file will be shown install the homebrew after its done you can plugout the usb stick the homebrew will be shown in the game column |
guys!! i have downloaded games. but when i press x to the game. it will come back to my main ps3 screen. im using multiman. pls help!! :(

@yengdanica
>_< seriously? Dude put a legit ps3 game in, then run mm and select backup you wanna play, mm boots back to xmb and the disc you have in should now be shown as the backup you selected in MM. Alternatively, after picking your game in MM and it goes back into xmb. If you don't have ps3 disc, scroll up to /app_home icon and press X to launch game discless. Doing it without disc though reduces playback of some games. As alot of games wont run discless. |
