Kinect was just stolen from Eyetoy Kinetic.
Beside I think we can play all next-gen games in full 3d with the eyetoy. |
I'd like to see a next-gen Move without the glowing ping-pong ball.

The right question should be: Is kinect a competitor?
No one gives a dime for a kinect set.:boring: |
Hopefully, this is the result of the aforementioned patent that Sony slapped down a few months ago. There was plenty of videos doing the rounds last year regarding 3D augmented reality glasses slash head tracking.
The logical progression would be 3D augmented reality in-game, but (drum roll) - without glasses. Technically, you'd be looking at a camera which could map a players face and head, pinpoint where the eyes are and shift the screen accordingly, creating the illusion of 3D and removing the need for glasses completely. If you haven't seen any of the videos, do a search for "Head Tracking for Desktop VR Displays using the WiiRemote". I say hopefully, because this is Sony we are talking about - but if they intend to use this speculative technology to these ends, it's a game changer - literally. |
like before sony is copying others work
but he is doing that in right way i love it |
Knowing Sony politics, this is a huge spycam system to record all your moves and behaviors and identify hackers and sceners...

Two cameras likely means proper stereoscopic 3D motion detection. That'd be cool.
