Update FIX for a game?

Hi, I'm currently trying to find a fix for Fatal Inertia (Unlock the full game).

I've found the US game and the fix for that. I'm in EU, so It won't work for me by default.

But can I change my region whenever I want to play this game?

Why wont it work for you?

Ps3 is region free.
